After earning a full-tuition scholarship to NYC's American Musical and Dramatic Academy, Myrton performed at the Juilliard School, the Joseph Public Theater, La MaMa ETC., and gained a recurring role on a network television soap opera. He went on to earn masters degrees from the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts and NYU's Tisch School of the Arts as well as his Ph.D. from Stanford University.
In Chicago, Myrton tackled the lead role of NECTOR KASHPAW in Lifeline Theater's Joseph Jefferson Award nominated adaptation of Louise Erdrich's famous novel Love Medicine. Steppenwolf Theatre then offered him a role in their revival of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest starring Gary Sinise; however, Myrton decided to earn his graduate degrees from the world's leading universities. |
STORYTELLERInspired more by his Native American roots than the entertainment industry's restrictive union categories, Myrton is a storyteller acting in Steven Spielberg's Into the West, co-producing the celebrated Alcatraz: Art Behind Bars, and co-writing the acclaimed feature film Black Warrior of Pyramid Lake.

SCHOLARMyrton's research at Stanford looks to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion in film, television, and theater production. By analyzing the economics and politics of minority participation, he created an inclusive production model using "Design Thinking." This improves how marginalized populations see themselves, the world, and their future.
